Ping tells us how all things in her life happened the way it did: about her mother who left for Mexico for good after the quarrels at home, about her loving grandfather and grandmother, about their neighbor Toos the policewoman, about the island where they live, about “Fred’s anything and everything odd job company” and how her rather clumsy father Fred suddenly disappeared.
“All of a sudden everything changed. But even change becomes normal after a while”
Ping encounters all sorts of absurd things in her story, such as the mystery of the missing gym teacher Debbie, who choked on her whistle and was crushed between a pair of thick gym mats, because a little alien fell through the gym roof in his broken flying saucer… or the search for little Skip, in which the little aliens appear again.
Ping managed to solve both cases, and it turned out that everything was connected.
«I’m not making anything up. It’s just that a lot of things happen to me»
As always, Esther de Koning’s performance is absurd, funny, imaginative and touching.
