Novogorod Theatre «Mali» opens its 19th season with Thornton Wilder?s fascinating play OUR TOWN. This performance connects two generations of theatre actors — students of Novgorod University (actors education)and proffesional actors of theatre «Mali». Great play of American playwriter Thornton Wilder will present in Velikiy Novgorod first time in September 11, 2008, after 70-years from American premier.
We have the pleasure to inform that we going to play two shows of Theatre «Mali» ?Prince and Giant?s Daughter» and «White Story» on the international tour in July in Japan. Okinawa festival and Osaka festival will introduce Russian shows in international festival program in July and August. We are glad to inform about new success for The Theatre’s Perfomance «Prince and Giant’s Daughter» in National Award «ARLEKIN» in St-Petersburg. The company’s performance «Prince and Giant’s Daughter, directed by Nadezhda Alexeeva, during National Award «ARLEKIN» in St-Petersburg at april 2008 has received the 4 prizes total!!! Jury of theatre critics and director awarded Nadezhda Alexeeva as the best director of festival, actors Elena Fedotova, Oleg Zverev, Andrey Danilov and Ilya Arkhipov has award as a «best actor’s ensemble», also the show has Special Prize of Russian Theatre Union and Special Press-Prize by newspaper «Moscow Komsomolets».

Director Nadezhda Alexeeva will come to Latvian Theatre Showcase (Riga, Valmiera), which will take place from February 27 till March 4, 2008. Latvian Showcase is organized by the New Theatre Institute of Latvia in collaboration with Latvian Theatres. This visit to Latvian Showcase to get to know better Latvian theatre — to see some of the newest productions, and some — already acknowledged ones, to meet artists and producers, to develop contacts for future Kingfestival 2009 in Velikiy Novgorod.
